Barbara Hall

Barbara Hall has dedicated more
than 35 years, working within communities as a lawyer,
community worker and municipal politician.
In September 2004, Ontario Minister
of Health, George Smitherman, appointed Hall to the
Health Results Team to assist the government in co-ordinating
and implementing changes to the health care system.
She is the team lead of community relations.
From 1997- 2002, Hall chaired the
National Strategy on Community Safety and Crime Prevention
for the federal department of justice.
Her municipal experience began in
1985, when she was elected for the first of three
terms as City Councilor for a downtown Toronto ward.
From 1994 to 1997, Barbara Hall served as Mayor of
the City of Toronto. Prior to entering public life,
Hall ran a general law practice in Toronto, was a
probation officer in Cleveland, Ohio and a youth worker
in Nova Scotia and Ontario.
Barbara Hall is an Honorary Patron
of the Genesis Research Foundation.
