Wusun Paek, M.D., FRCSC

Wusun Paek graduated from University of Toronto Faculty of Medicine in 1987 and completed her residency training in Obstetrics & Gynaecology at the University of Toronto from 1988 to 1992.

Dr. Paek became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Canada (FRCSC) in 1992 and was awarded a Fellowship in Advanced Endoscopic Surgery in the United States and France from 1992 to 1994.

She has been an active staff member at Mount Sinai Hospital since 1994 specializing in Endoscopic Surgery and General Gynaecology with a cross appointment as Assistant Professor, University of Toronto, Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology.

Dr. Paek earned a Master of Education, OISE/UT in 1998, and that year became a Fellow of the American College of Obstetrics & Gynecology.

Her main areas of interest include endoscopic surgery, endometriosis and menopause. She is involved in the surgical education of residents and colleagues and has completed an advanced endoscopy course for senior residents in OB/GYN at University of Toronto.

She is a committee and faculty member for SCOPE (Surgical Complications of Pelvic Endoscopy) sponsored by the Society of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists of Canada (SOGC).

Dr. Paek works actively to promote interest in health education of the Korean Canadian Community and serves as Vice President of the Korean Canadian Medical Association.
