Breast and Ovarian Cancers: Where do we go from here?

Thursday, April 23, 2009, 7:15 - 9:30 a.m.

We have all been touched by breast and ovarian cancers whether directly by a personal diagnosis or indirectly through our family members, friends, colleagues or neighbours. Breast and ovarian cancers are complex, complicated, and multifaceted by nature. Education is a powerful and valuable tool. With medical knowledge and technology rapidly developing, what is the future direction for breast and ovarian cancer screening and detection? What are the most up-to-date choices for patients? What role does genetics play, and what are the advances in risk assessment, prevention and diagnosis?
