With the co-operation of the Canadian Cancer Society, the Heart and Stroke Foundation of Canada and the Canadian Medical Association, she has authored five best-selling books, including "The Lighthearted Cookbook". As a home economist, writer and public speaker, she has helped countless Canadians to eat well, live longer and enjoy a healthier lifestyle. Professional Home Economist, Anne Lindsay, received the prestigious Order of Canada award on December 12, 2003.
Dr. Josse graduated in Medicine with Honours from the University of London in 1970, and he undertook Postgraduate Training at various Teaching Hospitals also at the University of London. He returned to Canada and completed his Clinical Training in Endocrinology, after which he completed a Research Fellowship at the University of Toronto followed by a further Clinical Fellowship at the Massachusetts General Hospital in Boston. Robert Josse holds Fellowships in Internal Medicine from the American College of Physicians, Royal College of Physicians of London and Internal Medicine and Endocrinology Fellowships from the Royal College of Physicians of Canada.
Dr. Josse is Associate Physician-in-Chief at St. Michael’s Hospital and a Professor in the Departments of Medicine and Nutritional Sciences at the University of Toronto. His major research interests include diabetes, hyperlipidemia and various nutritional metabolic problems as well as calcium metabolism and osteoporosis. He has published over one hundred and twenty articles in peer reviewed journals and twenty-one book chapters. He lectures widely both nationally and internationally on various related endocrine and metabolic topics.
He is the immediate past Chief of the Division of Endocrinology and Metabolism at St. Michael’s Hospital, a member and past Chair of the Scientific Advisory Council of the Osteoporosis Society of Canada and the President of the Canadian Society of Endocrinology and Metabolism.
Dr. Jennifer Blake is the Chief of Obstetrics and Gynaecology and Head of Women's Health at Sunnybrook and Women's College Hospital, Toronto. She is a Professor and Associate Chair of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the University of Toronto. She is a former Chief of Pediatric Gynaecology at the Hospital for Sick Children and was the Undergraduate Dean of McMaster University Medical School from 1991-1997.
Dr. Blake is a medical graduate from McMaster University and received her fellowship in 1982 in reproductive endocrinology and Master of Science. As an extension to her commitment in women's health, Dr. Blake serves with distinction as the Vice Chair of the Genesis Research Foundation.
